Jen studied Aromatherapy with the International Federation of Aromatherapists at Burton Manor College 2004-2005. She offers aromatherapy massage and makes bespoke potions based on individual needs and preferences. She believes we each have a unique frequency and that there is a signature blend waiting for us all. Our needs and preferences also change with the seasons and many reasons. A facial routine for example has the opportunity to be an extraordinary daily ritual of self love and care.
Scent is often a neglected sense that is very important for our brains and memory. Jen is a real advocate for natural smells; unnatural fragrance can be an assault on the senses and ultimately pollution that may trigger allergies or breathing issues.
Scent is a vibration, we talk about the essential oils having notes, just like music e.g Frankincense is a base note, deep and resonate and the citrus oils are top notes, sweet and light. Geranium is a good example of a middle note, creating a bridge between the base and the top. A good blend usually has a range of notes in it, just like a good symphony!
